Godsend is a superhero/supernatural story that follows the adventures of Austin Jackson whose life is forever changed when he has a strange encounter on his way to Boston to start his new job.
The time is now. The Templars have a new leader for their terror cells, the Mercurian monks have fallen, the blade of power is missing. When the gates of Hell crack open and the damned swordsmen spill out into the real world leading their legions of Hellspawn, only one thing has a chance of holding them back.
The power of the Godsend.
Austin Jackson was just after a chance to make a new life for himself in the big city. Now he must risk his life, soul, and those of his loved ones in order to live up to the responsibilities thrust upon him.
The time is now and Austin is all that stands between us and Armageddon.

Godsend was created in 1993 by Lee Jiles. Lee started with a drawing of a heroic character that was inspired by many of the comic book artists and their creations during the comics boom of the 1990's.
Then came the name and the pieces started falling into place.
As much as Lee was inspired by the artwork of some of the characters during the 90's, he wasn't inspired by much of the writing. He was seeing lots of great artwork(and lots of bad artwork), but many of the stories were just bad. Lots of cool action scenes and splash pages, but at the end of it all, he just couldn't relate to the characters and worse, didn't care about the characters.
So, Lee set out to make Godsend not only a cool looking character, but a character that people would care about and one that they could relate to in Godsend's alter ego, Austin Jackson.
After many years of writing and tweaking the story, Lee realized that writing wasn't his strong point. It was then that he enlisted the help of Aussie writer, Peter Mcleod, to bring Godsend to life.
With Peter on the writing/scripting it wasn't long before the script for Godsend #1 was written.
With the script ready, Lee began to search for an artist. As much as Lee wanted to draw Godsend himself, he knew with his family and job responsibilities that while it may be possible, it would take longer than he wanted to wait. After having a couple of artists drop out, Lee finally found Oski Yanez, an amazing artist from Argentina. Oski's work fit Godsend just like Peter's writing did and soon the pencil art for Godsend #1 was finished!
Lee then had the luck of having long time friend and inker Eric Dotson to ink the first half of Godsend #1. Eric's schedule required Lee to find another inker to help out and again, Lee was able to find the perfect fit in Fletcher Horton. Fletcher did an amazing job finishing the inks on issue 1 and it was ready for colors!
As luck would have it, colorist Nate Tingen's brother worked with Lee's friend(and About Time Comics partner) Eric Dotson. Nate sent some samples of his work and even though he was fairly new to coloring, he was really good!
While searching for a colorist, Lee had also found a letterer/designer, Bram Meehan, through a facebook group that he was a member in.
It seemed like all of the right people had come together and worked hard to create the amazing Godsend #1!
Lee was surprised and extremely grateful when he was contacted by artist Ken Hunt, who volunteered to draw the cover for Godsend #1, which has easily become the most recognizable and favorite Godsend image to date!
So now, after many years, Lee is finally able to share his favorite comic creation with the world in Godsend #1!
Lee says that Godsend #1 far exceeded his expectations and Godsend #2, which is currently under development, is looking to top the first issue.
Godsend is published by Lee Jiles and Eric Dotson's About Time Comics.
